Yoga Nidra in the New Year with April Lander

Join us for a 2-hour workshop to align your mind, body, and spirit to set guidance in the New Year. The practice of Yoga Nidra combines guided mental imagery with a specific yoga posture called Savasana (or “corpse pose”). The goal of Yoga Nidra is to promote a profound state of relaxation, which differs from sleep as there is still an awareness of one’s surroundings. Class will begin with journal exercises for self-reflection and then setting an intention for the year. We will then move into 10-15 minutes of a gentle floor-based flow accompanied with pranayama (or “breathwork”) before the Nidra practice. All levels welcome! Students should wear loose fitting clothing and are welcome to bring a pillow for ultimate comfort.
